Trying to Find My Silent Space

When contemplating "the sound of silence" my thoughts settled on... how do I find some of that?!
For me, this project developed into a light-hearted look at the hectic lives that so many of us lead.
Techniques involved a simple free form quilting process with feed dogs engaged, as well as hand painting.

    Heidi, I love the shapes in this piece and that little flash of blue, I just want to keep looking at it to see where all the lines go, quiet contemplation!

    I really love your piece Heidi and I think you have successfully captured our busy lives. Finding that piece of silence can be tough sometimes, but I think you have done a great job, in depicting it with the piece of blue. The graphical nature and simplicity of colour of this piece really appeals to me. Amanda

    This piece is beautifully designed. When I looked closer, I found the tiny bit of blue. What a delight! We should all protect our tiny bits of blue.

    I didn't guess that you were the artist of this quilt. It's very different to your previous quilts and just as well done. I love the simple colour palette and the maze like design.
