The name of my series is “City” and the theme of this
challenge is “Green”.
I live in a very green city. There are a lot of trees and
flowerbeds. I especially like spring in our city when the leaves and plants are
so fresh and sunrays can get you everywhere.
So that was the starting point of my quilt: a lot of
buildings, a lot of windows and a lot of green... and sunrays in the morning.
What a great start to your city theme. Your choice of fabrics definitely says springtime, with lots of green and flowers. Then the piecing and quilting gives us the city.
ReplyDeleteYou can really feel the green of spring in this quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove the gorgeous colour flow and little people that inhabit your city. They are cute
ReplyDeleteWonderfully energetic and fresh piece, Lyuda!
ReplyDeleteThere's lots to look at here. Lovely little roofs stitched on. The printed people and flowers are cute, and the machine stitching hints at windows and doors. It's colourful and bright and very spring-like.
ReplyDeleteA very fresh and springlike piece. I like the small black people you have stamped and how you have balanced them with the black and white fabric strips. Well done!
